Forklift Operator

Acme Distribution is seeking dependable, safety-minded Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and organize freight while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a clean, efficient, and safety-focused warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting productivity goals while following all company and OSHA safety standards.

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
• Stand up forklift experience a MUST
• Maintain the loading and unloading of palletized items on/off truck trailers
• Maintain safety procedures and operation of equipment
• Inter-case picking, packing, and boxing as needed and/or requested
• Shrink wrapping of palletized freight
• Math Skills - Order checking and counting freight
• Loading freight trucks with material handling equipment without damaging trailer and/or freight items
• Knowledge of building orders on pallets
• Be able to pick up 50 lbs consistently
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures

Experience Required:
• Warehouse experience
• RF/Scanner experience
• Stand up Forklift experience

Physical Requirements and work conditions:
• Specific vision abilities may be required for this role. These abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, as well as good depth perception.
• Must have the ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
• You will need to be able to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch when needed. Involves essential ability to maneuver around, in, on and under trucks in order to properly inspect and diagnose all types of problems and repairs.
• Repetitive movements are a big part of our environment, so you will need to be able to use your hands and feet simultaneously.
• This is a shop environment, so it consists of occasional extreme temperature shifts ranging from very cold to very hot.
• If you are operating Industrial Lift Equipment, you will need to be able to get on and off the equipment on a regular basis. Certain equipment may expose you to heights as well.
• There can be exposure to loud noises and dust. Position involves work in a shop environment with potential exposure to gases, fumes, and other airborne substances. Proper safety equipment and procedures must be followed.
• You will have regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moving equipment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 50 pounds to the shoulder.

Shift available: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Pay: $20.02/ hour
