Quality Technician

Job TitleESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Measure parts using lab equipment and fixtures and record on sample data sheetPrepare customer part approval documentationFloor Audits – team member x standardized work, documents and part qualityAttend and document trial events (A,B,C and HVPT) and follow up meetingsPackage and ship trial parts to customersPackage and ship trial parts to TG Japan for performance testingAttend internal launch meetings and daily PPCC meetingMake copies of drawings and other documents as requestedProblem solving / customer complaint report outOther Necessary tasks as requested by QA Manager or QEDevelop CISDevelop Checking Fixture InstructionsDevelop MQC/Control PlansGage R&RInspect partsMaintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training. Perform all tasks in accordance with the EMS procedures and practices and minimize the impact of their activities on the environment.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Knowledge of SPC techniquesWorking knowledge of use of inspection / measurement tools (calipers, micrometers)Ability to travel up to 10% - mostly domestic with possibility of internationalEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GEDCOMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Clear, concise written and verbal skills and problem-solving skills required. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of team members.TECHNICAL SKILLSComputer proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
