Project Logistics Manager

As a Project Logistics Manager at United Rentals with our Fluid Solutions Division, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to Fluid Solutions products and applications, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently to optimize customer service. You’ll manage modular building projects, including major fleet modifications and refurbishment, and act as the onsite project lead who will optimize and coordinate equipment and staffing logistics. You’ll deploy and oversee the work of Service Technicians and all onsite employees, and serve as the primary customer contact for the duration of the project. What You’ll Do Participate in pre-project planning meetings and strategy sessions, involving region and local leadership in project logistics and staffing plans. Effectively lead, develop and manage a cross‑functional team consisting mainly of vendors and subcontractors. Direct the building manufacturing process. Direct the permitting process and vendor management. Coordinate transportation and site installation services. Manage the project team logistics day‑to‑day activities, including scheduling, equipment setup, deployment and breakdown. Staff each project or event with adequate skills and workload. Ensure all equipment is ready for operation and safety checks are performed, overseeing equipment performance optimization and troubleshooting. Provide leadership and supervision to consistently deliver world‑class service to external customers at the project site. Manage performance of project employees, identify skill gaps and provide training, coaching, and motivation through one‑on‑one sessions and team meetings. Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, compliance, accountability and communication. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. High level technical working knowledge of Fluid Solutions products and applications, with strong customer service and relationship skills. Extensive logistics, project management and leadership experience in large‑scale projects/events using Fluid Solutions products. Sales experience a plus. Proficient in Microsoft applications and systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, RentalMan). Strong leadership and communication skills. Up to 75% travel throughout the year to projects or events; must remain at project or event for its duration. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
