Job Overview – Licensed Social Worker (Street Outreach) Compensation: $30 - $32/hour Location: Brooklyn, NY OR Queens, NY Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available TAG MedStaffing is hiring Licensed Social Workers (Street Outreach) in Brooklyn, NY and Queens, NY for our client, supporting street outreach, crisis intervention, and housing placement services for individuals experiencing homelessness. In this field-based role, you'll provide clinical assessments, crisis support, and care coordination while partnering with outreach teams to connect individuals with housing and essential services. The ideal candidate is a licensed social worker with experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention, or community-based social services. Responsibilities as the Licensed Social Worker: Clinical Assessment: Conduct psychosocial assessments, evaluate client needs, perform crisis evaluations, and support housing placement recommendations. Street Outreach: Engage individuals experiencing homelessness using Housing First, Harm Reduction, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care approaches. Crisis Intervention: Conduct risk assessments, support emergency response efforts, complete required clinical evaluations, and assist with crisis de-escalation in the field. Case Management Support: Provide clinical guidance to outreach staff, assist with complex client situations, and facilitate connections to behavioral health, medical, and housing resources. Community Response: Respond to outreach requests, community concerns, and emergency weather operations while collaborating with community partners and service providers. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation, complete required reports, and ensure timely submission of clinical and program records. Qualifications for the Licensed Social Worker: Education: Master's degree in Social Work or a related field is required. Licensure: Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license is required. Experience: 1+ years of experience in behavioral health, homelessness services, crisis intervention, community outreach, case management, or a related social services setting is required. Supervisory experience is preferred. Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Housing First, Harm Reduction, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and behavioral health systems is required. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required, and experience with electronic documentation or case management systems is preferred. Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, collaboration, and conflict de-escalation skills with the ability to work independently in the field, manage multiple priorities, and effectively engage diverse populations.
