The successful candidate shall work directly with business users to refine requirements, design robust solutions, and assist with validation processes. This is a technical position that demands a focus on hands-on development and active system creation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement scalable software solutions utilizing core technologiesCollaborate within an Agile environment utilizing practices such as pair programming and daily synchronization meetingsRefine complex system requirements through active engagement with business usersWrite comprehensive unit tests and acceptance tests to ensure delivery of high-quality codeParticipate in the shared team codebase using continuous integration methodologiesContribute to production support rotations as required by the business unitAssist during quality assurance and user acceptance testing phasesRequired QualificationsExperience: Candidates must possess at least five years of professional experience developing solutions with core Java. A minimum of two years of professional experience developing with Scala or other functional programming languages is required. Experience working within a Linux/Unix environment is necessary.Technical Skills: Proven expertise in writing Unit Tests and Acceptance/Behavior Tests is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong data structure, algorithm, and problem-solving capabilities, along with experience in continuous integration environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience with message-oriented middleware such as Kafka, AMQP, MQ, or AMPSFamiliarity with distributed systems and REST API design and developmentExperience with web application development technologies including JavaScript, AngularJS, and BootstrapKnowledge of DDD, CQRS, and event-sourced systemsFamiliarity with scripting languages such as Bash or PythonExperience with automated deployment technologies including Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or DockerUnderstanding of relevant financial industry middle and back-office processesEverforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
