Travel Nursing - Med-Surg

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Job Title: MED-SURG

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin

Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 4

Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $59 - $63/hr

Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients

Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act

Document according to standards of care

Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction

Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance

Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care

Utilize critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalate to the appropriate chain of command

Maintain current WI License and CPR/BLS certification

Maintain current Flu vaccination

Provide education verification documentation

Float to other units as required

Work every other weekend, holidays, and 12-hour night shifts (6:30PM - 7:00AM)
