Description
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the organizations accounting operations through the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of financial records. This role assists with month-end and year-end close processes, prepares financial reports, and ensures compliance with established accounting standards and internal policies.

Requirements

• 3-5 years Accounting Experience
• Prior experience in the construction, mechanical contracting, HVAC, plumbing, or other skilled trades industry is required.
• Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting
• Support the preparation of internal financial statements and reports
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Provide documentation and support for audits
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records
• Identify and recommend process improvements when appropriate
