Term Clinical Instructor of Nursing

Join our team and help shape the next generation of nursing professionals through innovative, student-centered education. We are seeking five (5) dynamic educator(s) with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to teach effectively while building meaningful partnerships across university and community settings. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in nursing education, including modern teaching methods, and understands the unique challenges of delivering high-quality nursing instruction across Alaska’s diverse urban and rural communities. Experience integrating technology to enhance learning is highly valued.

Qualified candidates must have at least one year of experience as a registered nurse, along with clinical experience in medical-surgical or other nursing specialties. The role also requires experience working with both public and private external partners. A Master’s degree in Nursing Education is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
Will be required to obtain and maintain an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
One year experience as a Registered Nurse.

Preference may be given to applicants:
Experienced with curriculum development, particularly given the opportunity for ongoing and progressive distance education course development.
Experienced in additional specialty area.
Demonstrating the ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively.

Position Details:

These are term-funded, union represented, 9 month per year faculty positions complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . Salary is based on experience.
