Unit Description
3W Neuro Acute Unit
Specialty: MS/Tele/Neuro
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3-12s Nights Patient population: Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Epilepsy patients. Traumatic brain injury, Craniotomy, Craniectomy, Aneurysm clipping and coiling, Spinal cord injury, Strokes, Seizure, Epilepsy, Change in mental status, Telemetry.
Must have 2 years experience and no first time travelers. Will be required to float and must work every other weekend. Required certification is BCLS and preferred NIH. Required skills are IV start, telemetry and care for tracheostomy and preferred level 1 trauma. Staffing ratios are 1/3-4 on days and 1/4-5 on nights. EMR is Cerner medication system is Pyxis.
