Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis

Job Overview Department: 35602 Advocate South Suburban Hospital - Hemodialysis Position: Registered Nurse – ICU (Full Time) Hours: 36 hours per week, 0.9 FTE; Day shift; every other weekend and holiday rotation; 2 days a week of call; one Sunday a month. Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30 Responsibilities & Qualifications Education Required: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing. Experience Required: Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrates progression to provide holistic patient care; view clinical situations from patient/family focus; recognize situational changes requiring unplanned interventions; respond with confidence, timeliness, flexibility; proficient in computer, electronic mail, EMR; excellent communication (written, verbal), listening, interpersonal; human relation skills; develop rapport and maintain positive professional relationships with patients, team members, physicians; initiative and teamwork; critical independent decision making; organization, prioritization, problem-solving; time management with multitasking; coordination, collaboration, delegation, team building. Certification Addendum: Maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications (e.g., DNV CARF or others). Licensure / Registration: Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders and twist frequently; lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs. over the head; carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance; push/pull.
