Epic Report Writer

Full-Time, Monday–Friday standard business hours (whichever time zone candidate resides in) Permanent Hire Salary Range: $115,000–$140,000 plus bonus and benefits Reporting Mode: 100% remote from anywhere in the United States We're seeking a detail-oriented Epic Report Writer to architect solutions forextractsfrom Epic, supporting clinical, operational, and financial decision-making across a number of hospital organizations. This role provides consulting to hospital leadership with regard to Epic extracts feeding downstream reporting. Key Responsibilities Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy extracts using Epic reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, SlicerDicer, BI tools such as Cogito/Clarity, Caboodle) Write and optimize SQL queries against Clarity/Caboodle databases Gather requirements from clinical and operational stakeholders and translate them into functional extract specifications Validate extract accuracy through testing and data validation against source systems Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing extracts Document extract logic, data definitions, and build specifications Maintain and update extracts in response to workflow, regulatory, or system changes Provide training and support to end users Collaborate with Epic application teams, analysts,IT staff and Hospital Operations on data and reporting initiatives Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience building extracts in Epic Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts Working knowledge of Clarity and/or Caboodle data models Demonstrated experience supporting or leading data integration efforts between Epic and external platforms (data lakes, data warehouses, third-party analytics tools) such as knowledge of custom Chronicles extracts and INI + Item Numbers Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills for working with non-technical stakeholders EEO Statement.
