Pain Management Physician (Interventional) Florida Spine & Pain Institute (FSPI) Central Florida | Full-Time | Outpatient Clinics

Florida Spine & Pain Institute is seeking a highly motivated, patient-centered Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our growing outpatient team. This position offers the opportunity to practice evidence-based pain medicine in a collaborative environment with a strong referral network, advanced procedural capabilities, dedicated support staff, and multiple clinic locations throughout Central Florida.

Our physicians focus on improving function, reducing pain, and enhancing quality of life through comprehensive, interventional, and multidisciplinary treatment approaches.

Responsibilities

The physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, including:

• Neck and back pain
• Radiculopathy
• Spinal stenosis
• Degenerative spine disorders
• Joint pain
• Neuropathic pain
• Cancer-related pain
• Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS)
• Post-surgical pain syndromes
• Musculoskeletal injuries

Additional responsibilities include:

• Developing individualized treatment plans
• Performing image-guided interventional procedures
• Coordinating care with referring physicians and specialists
• Maintaining accurate and compliant medical documentation
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives
• Educating patients regarding treatment options and expected outcomes

Required Interventional Skills
Candidates should be experienced and comfortable performing the following procedures:

Spine Procedures

• Epidural Steroid Injections
• Selective Nerve Root Blocks
• Facet Joint Injections
• Medial Branch Blocks
• Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
• Sacroiliac Joint Injections
• Nerve Blocks

Knowledge and Training on Advanced Interventional Procedures

• Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials 
• Intrathecal Pain Pump Trials and Management
• Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS)
• Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD)
• Basivertebral Nerve Ablation (Intracept)

Joint & Musculoskeletal Procedures

• Knee Injections
• Shoulder Injections
• Hip Injections
• Trigger Point Injections
• Bursa Injections
• Ultrasound-Guided Musculoskeletal Procedures
• Regenerative Medicine Procedures (PRP experience preferred)

Diagnostic Procedures

• Fluoroscopic-Guided Injections
• EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies (preferred)
• Diagnostic Nerve Blocks

Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine
• Fellowship Training in Interventional Pain Management
• Active Florida Medical License (or ability to obtain)
• DEA Registration
• Strong procedural and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and bedside manner

Plus Experience:

• Experience with neuromodulation and advanced pain therapies
• Experience growing clinic and procedure volumes
• Knowledge of Medicare, commercial payer policies, and compliance requirements
• Experience collaborating with post-acute care facilities, rehabilitation providers, and multidisciplinary teams
