The Spirit of the Position Garage Attendant provides excellent customer service while greeting and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients. What does a day in the life of a LAZ Garage Attendant look like? Greet customers warmly and assist them with parking needs and inquiries. Monitor garage activity to ensure a safe and orderly environment. Monitor parking facilities for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route. Issue LAZ approved parking citations for vehicles in violation of policies and procedures. Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges within approved areas. Provide directions and information about garage services and nearby locations. Handle payment processing and validate parking tickets. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the garage. Address and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly. What would we like you to bring to the team? Cash handling experience is required. Parking industry experience is preferred but not required. Good under pressure. You don’t fold and get overwhelmed easily. Proficient in basic math. Communicate professionally and effectively. A team player. You’re open to different opinions and can help motivate your team. Capable of working in an unsupervised setting. Physical Demands Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50lbs. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
