This position supports our banquet and events operation, helping prepare and execute high-quality meals for conferences, weddings, meetings, and other special events hosted at the hotel. This role is ideal for an experienced culinary professional looking to contribute on a short-term basis in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Banquet Chef Details:

• Temporary position
• $ 18.00 / hour
• Full Time and Part Time work available
• Various shifts available

• Schedule is based on banquet and event business demand
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules required
• Execute all assigned cooking duties with precision and efficiency while adhering to established recipes and culinary standards
• Prepare meals and menu items for banquets, meetings, weddings, and other hotel-hosted events
• Perform comprehensive food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
• Ensure all dishes are cooked to proper temperatures, seasoned accurately, and presented attractively
• Assist with banquet setup, execution, and breakdown as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times while following all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Collaborate effectively with chefs, cooks, and banquet staff to ensure timely and efficient event service
• Uphold the highest standards of culinary excellence, taste, and presentation

Banquet Chef Qualifications:

• Fast-paced and professional hotel kitchen setting
• Team-oriented environment supporting banquet and event operations
• Ability to stand comfortably for the duration of an 8-hour shift
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access ingredients and equipment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a professional kitchen environment
• Banquet, catering, hotel, or high-volume event cooking experience preferred
• Dress code: Black chef shirt and pants or solid black attire, closed-toe, non-slip shoes
