Role Description The Automotive Body Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Dallas, TX. In this role, the technician repairs and restores vehicle bodies after collisions, including assessing damage, removing and replacing panels, straightening frames, and aligning body components. Day-to-day tasks include sanding, priming, and painting surfaces, blending paint to match OEM finishes, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards. The technician works closely with service advisors and other shop team members to prioritize work orders, document repair steps, and meet production timelines. Additional responsibilities include maintaining tools and equipment, following shop safety procedures, and supporting a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications Strong skills in Collision repair and Auto Body work, including panel replacement, dent repair, and structural/body alignment. Proficiency in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair tasks related to body components, trim, and safety systems. Experience with Paint preparation, color matching, refinishing, and blending techniques using modern paint systems. Ability to interpret repair estimates, follow OEM procedures, and use diagnostic and measuring tools for precision work. Previous experience as an automotive body technician or related role in a collision center or dealership environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., I-CAR, ASE in Collision Repair) are preferred but not required. Commitment to safety practices, quality workmanship, and respectful, professional communication with team members and customers.
