Interventional Radiology Technologist

Interventional Radiology Technologist at MedStar Health Location: Parkton, USA. This is a PRN day‑shift position (7:00 am–5:30 pm). Salary range: $35.68–$58.84 per hour. This highly skilled technical and professional position assists with all invasive cardiovascular procedures and other specialized interventional procedures under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist, Cardiologist, and Vascular Surgeon, in accordance with established protocols. The role requires proficiency in scrubbing procedures, use of imaging and patient‑care equipment, and strict adherence to aseptic technique. Primary Duties Operate and document all aspects of the Cath Lab, functioning as a contributing member of the Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team, and assisting physicians during procedures. Maintain a safe environment for patients, performing tasks such as scrub assistance, aseptic technique, patient positioning, and monitoring hemodynamic/ECG/angiographic data. Prepare, sterilize, and restock all equipment and supplies; troubleshoot equipment and ensure proper operation of all interventional equipment. Maintain current knowledge, certification, and licensure; attend continuing education and hospital‑sponsored training programs. Collaborate effectively with inter‑departmental teams and committees, communicate unit knowledge, and precept new Cardiovascular Lab technologists. Qualifications Vocational/Technical Diploma or associate degree in Radiology. 5–7 years of Cath Lab experience (preferred). ARRT license as Registered Radiation Technologist in Maryland.
