Registered Nurse Critical Care

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 1 year of hire
• Six months previous critical care experience preferred
• Passing completion of a Critical Care Nursing course

Responsibilities:

• Provide appropriate nursing interventions in stable and emergent patient situations.
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel.
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care of patients during life-threatening emergencies.
• Demonstrate competence in routine nursing skills including medication administration and intravenous therapy.
• Manage patients requiring various monitoring systems and perform proficient assessments.
• Understand and follow chain of command per policy.
