Job Summary

\n

The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Academic General Anesthesiologist to join our expanding team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide a wide variety of anesthesia care while contributing to the departments academic, research, and teaching missions.

\n

 

\n

Position Highlights

\n

\n
• Provide anesthesia services for a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
\n
• Deliver high-quality perioperative care and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical continuum.
\n
• Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings.
\n
• Participate in departmental academic activities, such as research, quality improvement, and scholarly projects.
\n
• Engage in collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical care across the institution.
\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
\n
• Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent).
\n
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
\n
• Demonstrated interest in education, scholarship, and academic contributions.
\n
• Commitment to excellence in patient care, teamwork, and professional development.
\n
• Candidates with subspecialty training in cardiothoracic, obstetric, pediatric, regional, neurosurgical, or transplant anesthesia, as well as critical care, pain management, hyperbaric medicine, and perioperative medicine are welcome to apply.
