Consumer Loan Servicer

Location & Employment Type Applicants must reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The position is hybrid. Position Overview Consumer Loan Servicer responsible for managing existing consumer loans in the credit union’s portfolio and those sold to investors. Provides critical support services to the department, resolving member inquiries, maintaining loan data, managing title processes, and coordinating core system interface issues. Responsibilities Perform loan servicing duties such as collateral loan title tracking, insurance tracking, filing UCC, and generating lien releases. Provide member and third‑party service by resolving inquiries regarding loan payment history, corrections, payoff statements, payoff transactions, due date changes, interest rate discounts, loan amortization, and verification. Generate and review consumer loan reports (Funding, Paid in Full, Low Balance, UCC). Maintain tracking logs for Auto, Boat, RV titles, insurance, and UCC. Perform quality control on all consumer loans, ensuring core system data aligns with loan agreements. Review third‑party vendor reports and invoices for accuracy, audit against lending policies and procedures. Collect required documents for subordination requests on loans held in the portfolio and assist the Investor Relations team on investor‑held loans; prepare subordination agreements and update trackers upon approval. Qualifications Three to five years of similar or related experience. Education High school diploma or GED.
