Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for breakfast and lunch service, including washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning food items
• Assist with meal preparation according to recipes and cafeteria guidelines
• Support cooks and kitchen staff during food production and service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Properly store food products and supplies following food safety regulations
• Restock food, utensils, and kitchen supplies as needed
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all school, health, and safety procedures
• Assist with kitchen cleanup and end-of-day duties
• Help ensure students receive quality meals in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous food preparation, cafeteria, kitchen, or prep cook experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift and carry supplies as required
