Pathology Assistant
Job Description
Assist the Pathologist in the gross room and autopsies and is responsible for a variety of duties including: assisting at frozen sections, assisting at fine needle aspiration biopsies, stocking and delivery of supplies, transport specimens and slides, filing, answering telephone, handling hazardous materials; and, accurately label and number the cases. Special projects or other assignments may be given with expectation to be completed in a specified timeframe.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Training:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-year hospital laboratory experience required or Associates Degree in Biology
Pay Transparency
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $24.27. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered.
