Quality Engineer

They are responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes, products, and systems meet internal quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives by applying quality tools, analyzing data, and driving corrective and preventive actions. A Quality Engineer plays a key role in maintaining compliance with applicable quality standards by providing guidance and assistance to manufacturing, field installation, and the Daifuku organization.ResponsibilitiesIdentification of processes, electrical, mechanical, and weldingDetermination of criteria and methods to ensure process operation & controlProcess improvement resulting in measurable dataProblem solving and mistake proofingFMEA (Process & Design)Utilization of Corrective Action SystemTooling ManagementConduct internal quality auditsCompile and provide reports regarding nonconformance/corrective action dataTrain employees in quality concepts and work instructionsAdministrate document control procedures for all quality related documentsFacilitate internal and participate in third party ISO/QS auditsAssist with Statistical Process Control ActivitiesAssist in application of statistical process control techniques and data analysis for Manufacturing facilities and SuppliersAssist with measuring and testing product, measuring techniques, test readinessDocumentation of failures, root cause, and corrective actionConduct or assign personnel to perform product/process inspections at vendor siteContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededKnowledgeEnglish Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
