About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Compliance to lead its Corporate Compliance Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the organization, including its Board, management, and employees, adheres to all relevant rules, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves serving as a key communication channel for compliance issues, developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures, and managing the day-to-day operations of the compliance program. The Vice President of Compliance will also be tasked with monitoring and coordinating compliance activities across various departments, identifying and mitigating compliance risks, and providing regular reports on the status of compliance efforts. Candidates for the Vice President of Compliance position at the company should have a Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field, with a Juris Doctor degree preferred. A Certified Healthcare Compliance Officer (CHC) certification is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Compliance Officer, particularly in a healthcare setting. Key competencies for this role include teamwork orientation, technical capacity, thoroughness, time management, customer/client focus, and flexibility. The role requires a strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and standards, as well as experience with coding and reimbursement systems, risk management, and performance improvement. The Vice President of Compliance will be expected to have a deep understanding of governmental compliance regulations and healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including the False Claims Act, Stark Laws, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
