Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)NeuLife Rehabilitation of Louisiana provides post-acute rehabilitation and residential services for individuals recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), and other neurological conditions. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that improve functional abilities, independence with activities of daily living, and overall quality of life for our clients.Responsibilities:Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.Assist in evaluating patient needs and identifying functional limitations.Conduct therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions designed to improve motor skills, mobility, and daily living skills.Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic programs.Monitor client progress and communicate observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist and treatment team.Educate clients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs.Support recommendations for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to maximize independence.Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.Collaborate with therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality client care.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.Comply with HIPAA, state licensure requirements, and all applicable regulatory standards.Qualifications:Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.Current Louisiana Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.Experience in neuro-rehabilitation, brain injury, spinal cord injury, or post-acute rehabilitation preferred.Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Compassionate, client-centered approach to patient care.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.Benefits:Competitive compensationMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time offProfessional development and continuing education opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunities for career growth and advancementAbout NeuLife Rehabilitation of Louisiana:NeuLife Rehabilitation of Louisiana is committed to providing exceptional rehabilitative care in a supportive and compassionate environment.
