We believe culture makes a difference and we strive to build lasting relationships with our employees, customers, and the community.The responsibilities of a body shop technician include repairing the vehicle body, from hammering out minor dents to windshield replacement, painting of panels, paint correction, and complete rebuilds. When not repairing collision damage, technicians work on body customization or minor repairs, such as buffing out scratches or refurbishing corrosion damage.Responsibilities:Determine and repair damaged partsCommunicate status of repairs clearly to general managerCommunicate with parts department to obtain necessary partsDocument all repairs performedDocument all materials usedMaintain work area in a clean and orderly mannerFollow all company safety proceduresUnderstand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wasteRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent5+ years body work experience requiredExperience with collision repair and vehicle body workExperience with body filler, sanding, and surface preparationExperience with body preparation, painting, sanding, clear coating requiredFamiliarity with structural and non structural repairsAbility to properly disassemble and reassemble vehiclesAble to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsClean driving record & valid driver’s licenseMust be able to supply your own tools, supplies will be provided.Shottenkirk Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
