Job Description Job Description United States Steel – Tubular Operations has an immediate opening for a Part-time Test Proctor. This position is a part-time contract to potential full-time position, working onsite at the U. S. Steel location in Fairfield, Alabama. It is not for a direct hire into U. S. Steel, rather will be employed part-time as a contractor. The Part-Time Test Proctor is responsible for administering/proctoring written tests for our open positions. Compensation: $18.00 Responsibilities: • Assign test session IDs. • Register candidates upon arrival. • Read test instructions. • Ensure test rules are followed. • Score tests upon completion. • Report results to the HR and Talent Acquisition teams. • Support hiring events by assisting with documentation collection, administrative tasks, candidate coordination and other HR or Talent Acquisition needs, as assigned. Required: • Ability to read and clearly communicate test instructions. • Effective and professional communication skills with internal and external individuals, including candidates, HR and Talent Acquisition. • Ability to work 5-15 hours per week, onsite at the facility. Specific days and hours will vary based on testing needs (no weekends). • Strong attention to detail. • Skilled in MS Office Products. • Ability to lift, move, set up and store computer equipment and related testing materials, as needed. • Ability to work safely and comply with all U. S. Steel safety policies and site requirements. • Reliable and dependable attendance with the ability to report as scheduled.
