Nutrition Therapy Dietitian

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Leprino Building AMC, US:CO:Aurora

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary: Learns safe nutrition therapy for assigned patient populations as a novice dietitian.

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Clinical Dietitian, assesses patient's nutritional status and needs, deriving nutrition diagnosis from assessment data. Under the supervision of a Clinical Dietitian, develops interventions and plan of care on best available evidence and best practices. Under the supervision of a Clinical Dietitian, assesses patient understanding and compliance with nutrition interventions and plan of care. Monitors patient progress; measures and evaluates patient outcomes. Learns about and participates in departmental initiatives relative to patient care. Participates in education programs for patients, physicians, nurses, and other health care team members, departments, and the public.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Credentials: Essential: Registered Dietitian
• Other information: Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's in Human Nutrition or related field required. Completion of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics-approved Dietetic Internship. Required Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required within 3 months of hire. Minimum Experience: None required.
• IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
