Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified dental assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position. Every other Monday, every Tuesday, every other Thursday Totaling 2 days per week. We also work 1 Saturday per month starting up again in September. There is opportunity for more hours. The ideal candidate must have a NJ dental x-ray certification or be in process of getting one.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
- Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
- Take vital signs and accurately record medical history
- Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
- Assist the dentist during procedures and exams
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Keep treatment rooms clean and organized.
- Self starter and team player
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care
