Exacta Systems is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering organization. This individual will play a critical role in bridging development and operations, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our central determinant gaming systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and enjoys building and optimizing infrastructure that powers real-time gaming applications. The DevOps Engineer will partner closely with software engineering, QA, and IT operations teams to streamline deployment processes, enhance system monitoring, and improve overall system resilience.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCollaboration within the DevOps Team to develop tools and administer our products.Develop and enhance build processes and tools.Provide second-to-third-tier customer support, assisting the operations team with engineering-related issues.Collaborate with internal and third-party development partners.Configure and deploy modern observability tools for system performance, availability, and security monitoring.Support database deployment processes and environment consistency across development, staging, and production.Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and system architecture.Partner with QA and developers to support test environment stability and reliabilityRequired Skills And AbilitiesSenior level experience with MongoDB databaseSenior level knowledge of modern software architecture including inversion of control, test driven development, and SOLID principlesExperience with Git and Github, Gulp, and NPMExperience with cloud deployment environments such as Amazon Web ServicesDevelopment experience with casino gaming systems is preferredUnderstanding of networking fundamentals, system security, and performance optimizationAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindsetEducation And Experience5+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar roleBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)Senior level experience with web technologies and programming web-based user interfaces (C#, Node.js, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, etc.)Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsAbility to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of timeAbility to travel occasionally to support system deployments or operational needsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
