Lead Medical Assistant – CenterWell Senior Primary Care The Lead Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. This role assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment. Responsibilities Discuss symptoms and obtain vital signs Administer medication and vaccines Phlebotomy and specimen collection Perform diagnostic screening tests Sterilize and clean equipment Maintain examination rooms Document patient information into the electronic medical records system Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers Deliver direct patient care within scope of certification Prioritize daily tasks for administrative work group and external vendors Contribute to process improvement initiatives Provide training, advanced guidance, and mentoring to other medical assistants Qualifications Certified or Registered Phlebotomy Experience Medication/vaccine administration experience 3+ years Medical Assistant experience High school diploma or equivalent CPR Certified 1+ years MA experience in PCO center Value Based Care experience (knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience) Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Location: Onsite at CenterWell Senior Primary Care office, 1766 East Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104-1945 Screening: This role is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program; selected candidates will be screened for TB. Compensation Pay Range: $48,300 - $65,900 per year (full time, 40 hours per week). The compensation may vary based on geographic location and individual experience, education, and certifications. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
