Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN requiring 2 years of acute care experience and 2 years of travel nursing experience, with the flexibility to float across 8 units. Details Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Tele units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow 371-bed hospital with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days and evenings, up to 6:1 on nights Uses EPIC EMR for charting 36 or 48 hour schedule with Day/Evening rotation and every other weekend (EOW) 1 to 3 rotations to night shift per contract Required to float between 8 different units Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license (no conditional or pending licenses accepted) Current BLS certification (AHA only) 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required Telemetry monitoring experience including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours TR Band experience required Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading tele strips Free on-site parking available Local candidates accepted with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the hospital in Boston These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
