Our golden rule: "The customer is the most important person in all our stores."Job Purpose: Every Huck's Market Sales Associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of their shift, within company policy, to ensure that the shift contributes to the profitability of the store.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Customer Service:Greets all customers promptly (including gasoline intercom) and provides courteous service adhering to all Best In Class standardEnsures that store appearance reflects company expectations and standardsEnsures that the store is open and ready for business during all hoursHandles all customer conflicts by using our method of MAKE IT RIGHTGeneral Job Duties:Is committed to our Vision/Mission Statement (T.H.A.N.K.S)Performs specific tasks as assigned by the Store ManagerFollows all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the storeFollows the work schedule as posted, unless a change in schedule is arranged with Store ManagerOperates shift within company guidelines and policiesEnsures Store Manager is made aware of all sales, cash, or operating discrepanciesActively participates in all Company contestsSuggestive sales at all timesAccounting:Completes a shift checklist according to company policyProperly records all hours worked on the workstationRings all sales on the sales register, with no exceptionAccurately records all voids, refunds and price overridesHuman Resources:Advises Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performanceTreats all co-workers and customers with dignity and respectRecords hours worked in the workstationComplies with the Company Responsible Retailing policySecurity:Ensures all cash handling procedures are followedEnsures a safe shopping and working environmentEnsures all company assets are protected, including cash and merchandiseEnsures vendor check-in procedures are followed per company policyEnsures cash is only kept in the safe and the registerFollows company policy with regard to excessive cash in registers, change funds and safe security as directed by the Store ManagerFollows company policy with regard to not allowing another associate to operate his or her cash drawerFollows company shift change procedures as per company policyMerchandising:Keeps coolers, drink boxes, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and fronted at all timesProperly cleans and maintains equipment and readies high-margin products such as coffee, fountain drinks, etc. as directed by the Store ManagerUses correct pricing as listed on the DSD or grocery book for all merchandiseUses suggestive selling techniques as directed by the Store ManagerMaintenance:Keeps store floors clean at all times, with specific responsibilities being assigned by the Store ManagerChecks refrigeration equipment for proper performance and temperatures a minimum of once per shiftCleans windows, floors, shelving, counters, gas pumps and parking lot to ensure they remain clean at all times.Follows all items on the shift duty checklistImmediately advises the Store Manager of any maintenance problems.Safety:Ensures that ladders are properly usedEnsures that lifting procedures are followed per company policyEnsures that wet floor signs are used, per company policyReports accidents promptly to the Store Manager and corporate officeHuck's Bucks Loyalty App:Actively promote the Huck's Bucks Loyalty app to customersCommunicate to customers the benefits of signing up and using the appMonitor transactions for potential misuse of points or discountsAssist customers on how to sign up and use the app for discounts and redemptionBenefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurances, ESOP, 401K with match, paid time off, and paid holidays.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development within a growing company.Employee discounts for food and fuel.The Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities list is incomplete but is merely the most accurate list for the current job.
