Embedded Firmware Engineer – RTOS, Bare-metal Location: Houston, TX, US Position ID: 6825307 Job Description We are a well‑established industrial engineering company specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced systems that support critical infrastructure, automation platforms, and next‑generation industrial equipment. We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Engineer to design, develop, and support embedded systems that power our industrial products from initial concept through full production. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex, real‑world technologies while collaborating with a talented engineering team. Responsibilities Design, develop, and support embedded firmware for industrial products. Develop and perform hardware/software integration. Execute system‑level testing and performance tuning. Utilize embedded debugging tools to resolve issues. Collaborate across engineering functions to meet project milestones. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution. 5+ years of embedded systems experience. Proven experience in full‑cycle product development. Hands‑on experience with hardware/software integration, system‑level testing, performance tuning, and embedded debugging tools. Strong programming proficiency in C or C‑based languages. Knowledge of IDE toolchains including compiler, linker, assembler, and loader. Experience with serial communication protocols such as RS‑485, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, and UART. Ability to read and interpret microprocessor/component datasheets and manufacturer application notes.
