Systems Administrator

As a Systems Administrator at Kitware, you will play a vital role on the Systems Administration team, working closely with teammates in supporting critical infrastructure used by Kitware's research and development engineers and support staff across a diverse range of projects. In This Position You Will Support end-user hardware and software (Windows, Linux, macOS) Participate in the support of Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows server infrastructure Support regulated and customer-sponsored computing environments, including environments subject to security clearance, as needed Assist in administering device management systems (Active Directory, JAMF, Puppet) Provide support for virtual infrastructure (VMware), cloud-computing services (AWS), and various cloud service providers Maintain backup infrastructure (Veeam) Configure networking, including firewalls, wireless networks, VPN tunnels, and VLANs Make recommendations on new system purchases (end-user and infrastructure) Maintain documentation in support of new technologies and applications Required Qualifications Due to contractual requirements, U.S. citizenship is required, along with the willingness and ability to obtain, use, and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph Bachelor's or associate's degree in an IT-related field, with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent amount of education and experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Security+ or willingness to successfully obtain required certifications Preferred Qualifications Experience with Linux system administration and Active Directory management Experience working alongside software development teams Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks Company Description Kitware is a research and development software solutions provider with a mission to advance science, make a positive impact, and share our results all within a collaborative, employee-focused work environment that is friendly, fair, and flexible.
