Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience supporting transformer manufacturing or high-voltage electrical equipment is preferred. A. Responsibilities and Duties Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Support maintenance of transformer-related equipment, including ovens, vacuum systems, oil processing equipment, and test systems (preferred) Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Comply with all safety policies including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and PPE requirements Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime Assist vendors and contractors during repairs or upgrades B. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment Preferred: Experience in transformer manufacturing or high-voltage electrical equipment Familiarity with vacuum drying ovens, oil processing systems, or electrical test equipment PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) Electrical license or trade certification Experience supporting new equipment installation or plant startups Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication and documentation skills Flexibility to support overtime or off-shift work as needed On Site Full Time Manufacturing and industrial setting Exposure to machinery, electrical systems, oils and noise PPE required Job Department: Transformers Job Type: Full Time Job Location: Remote Reports To: Facilities Manager #J-18808-Ljbffr JST Power Equipment, INC.
