Test Technician II - Antenna

Salary: $29.91–$35.34 per hour About the opportunity EVONA is recruiting a Test Technician II – Antenna for an aerospace communications company developing advanced antenna systems for space, ground and airborne applications. You will work closely with engineers to prepare antenna test setups, operate antenna ranges, execute measurements and deliver accurate test results. The role supports development and production testing of active electronically scanned arrays (AESAs), with applications including ground terminals and commercial aircraft connectivity. Key responsibilities Execute antenna test plans and provide clear, timely reports. Configure, operate and maintain antenna range facilities, including anechoic chambers, positioners, RF cabling and support equipment. Set up and align antennas, mechanical fixtures, instrumentation and devices under test for near-field and far-field measurements. Assist with antenna pattern, gain, polarization and RF performance measurements. Maintain organized, repeatable test setups and ensure facilities are ready for testing. Troubleshoot cabling, instrumentation and range configuration issues with engineering guidance. Support calibration and verification of antenna range systems and RF instruments. Follow detailed test procedures and flag corrections or improvements. Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory and test resources. Help improve setup repeatability, measurement quality and testing efficiency. Required experience and skills At least two years of directly related experience as an Antenna Technician, Test Technician, Engineering Technician or in a similar technical role. Experience working with RF systems, antenna systems or active electronics. Practical experience with mechanical fixtures, RF cabling and instrumentation integration. Ability to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, diagrams and test procedures. Strong attention to detail, organization and troubleshooting skills. Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment. Comfort using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. Preferred experience Hands-on use of VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, digital multimeters and power meters. Familiarity with antenna measurements, RF test methods and antenna range operations. Experience testing phased arrays or operating automated antenna range systems. Compensation and benefits The hourly range is $29.91–$35.34, with the final offer based on relevant experience, education, training and skills.
