Skilled - CNC Machinist

Position Title CNC Machinist (Lathe) Wage $25.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE Shift 1st Hours 6:00am - 2:30pm Location PFI in Tomball, TX. Employment Contract position with potential to go perm. Responsibilities Study blueprints, sketches, damaged parts, and specifications to determine machining requirements, dimensions, and tolerances Measure, mark, and lay out materials for machining operations Set up and operate lathes and other metal-removing machines such as mills, grinders, and shapers Verify finished workpieces using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with diagnosing equipment malfunctions when needed Adapt tooling, fixturing, materials, and machining techniques as directed by supervision Accurately document job activities, transactions, and time worked Follow ISO inspection procedures and quality standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while adhering to all company safety policies Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Trade school or technical certification preferred Minimum 2 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience setting up and operating lathes required Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming concepts Working knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and machine setups Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges Ability to make machine adjustments and troubleshoot basic machining issues Basic computer skills required Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds Frequent use of hands for handling tools and materials Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Ability to work in a moderate-noise manufacturing environment Why This Opportunity?
