Dental assistant

A dental assistant supports dentists during patient care and helps keep the dental office organized and efficient. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures. Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures. Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment. Take and process dental X-rays when permitted by local regulations. Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable. Record medical and dental histories and update patient charts. Provide patients with instructions for oral care after procedures. Mix and prepare dental materials such as impressions or temporary fillings. Maintain infection-control and safety standards. Schedule appointments and assist with basic administrative duties when needed. Maintain inventory and restock dental supplies. Follow patient confidentiality requirements and office policies.
