Description
American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with CVOR and Trauma Level I experience for a hospital surgical services position.
Details
- Level I Trauma hospital OR setting supporting general, ortho/spine/total joints, neuro, and neuro/spine surgeries
- Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
- Average daily case volume of 30
- 4x10 day/mid shift schedule with variable start times (0630-1700 or 0845-1915)
- On-call requirements apply, with call frequency varying by shift assignment
- Floating to Outpatient may be required
- Uses Epic documentation system
- Exposure to specialized equipment including Cranial Navigation Stealth, Ortho Navigation Mako, and Da Vinci Xi Robotics
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience required; first-time travelers not considered
- BLS certification required
- CST and NBSTSA certifications preferred
- License required if applicable
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Experience in general, ortho/spine/total joints, neuro, and neuro/spine surgeries required
- Proficiency in scrub role and aseptic technique required
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Experience with robotics, cranial navigation, and orthopedic navigation systems preferred
- Proof of COVID vaccination required
Additional Information
- Maintain sterile fields and support surgical teams across a wide range of procedures including neuro, ortho, general, and trauma cases
- Participate in instrument processing, sterilization, and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- Handle specimen labeling and adhere to sharps and radiation safety practices
- Perform duties across multiple surgical specialties including gynecology, urology, and bariatrics
- Assist with robotic-assisted procedures using Da Vinci and Mako systems as needed
- All requested time off must be submitted with initial candidate profile for full contract duration
