The Outside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving growth by acquiring new clients and managing sales opportunities within assigned local and regional territories. This position focuses on selling in the construction industry and involves a balanced mix of client engagement, market analysis, and contract negotiation. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the role offers a structured path for career progression.
Responsibilities
- Acquire and develop new client relationships
- Generate and qualify leads within the assigned territory
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospects
- Manage and prioritize territory activities effectively
- Negotiate contracts to close sales agreements
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
- Prepare and submit timely sales reports
- Build and maintain a professional network in the industry
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in outside sales
- Associate’s degree in Business or related field
- Proficient in sales techniques and CRM tools
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Effective time management and prospecting abilities
- Excellent presentation and problem-solving skills
