Medical Assistant (certified)

Certified Medical Assistant Contract opportunity with Yoh’s engineering facility client located in Elgin, IL. Schedule Mon, Wed, Fri 8am-5pm AND Tues, Thurs 10am-7pm Duration 7/20-10/19 with possible extension or direct placement Pay $19-25/hr What You’ll Be Doing Interview patients, measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and record information on patients' charts Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination Cleans and sterilizes instruments Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at front desk Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records May require other duties as assigned What You Need to Bring to the Table Medical Assistant Certification – CMA exam certificate is required BLS upon hire At least two years of clinical and administrative experience Phlebotomy experience Primary care experience preferred Bilingual candidates are a plus Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach Reliable and organized candidate What’s In It For You?
