Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active New Hampshire Special Education Teacher certification is required
• Solid experience working with middle school-aged students
• Familiarity with life skills programming and adapting instruction to individual needs
• Previous involvement in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans targeting life skills for each student
• Collaborate closely with general educators, support staff, and families to ensure effective support and progress monitoring
• Use evidence-based instructional strategies to enhance student engagement and learning
• Document student growth, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that prioritizes student safety and agency
• Provide ongoing feedback and adjust instructional approaches to meet evolving student needs
