Senior Power BI & GCP Data Analytics Consultant

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a  Senior Power BI & GCP Data Analytics Consultant.

Duration: 6 Months Contract (Extension Possible)
Location: Charlotte, NC Preferred / Minneapolis, MN
 
As a Senior Power BI & GCP Data Analytics Consultant, you will:  
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions.
• Create executive, operational, and strategic reporting to support data-driven decision making.
• Develop complex data models, semantic layers, KPIs, calculations, and DAX measures.
• Build interactive visualizations highlighting trends, risks, performance metrics, and business opportunities.
• Optimize dashboard performance, refresh schedules, and end-user experience within Power BI Service.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
• Establish reporting standards, governance frameworks, and documentation best practices.
• Design, build, and optimize data ingestion pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from enterprise applications, APIs, operational systems, and third-party platforms.
• Utilize BigQuery and cloud-native GCP services to support scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Implement data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and quality monitoring processes.
• Create automated ingestion, monitoring, and alerting capabilities to support operational and analytical workloads.
• Partner with business teams to define, document, and operationalize KPI frameworks and executive scorecards.
• Develop reporting for productivity, quality, throughput, cycle time, SLA performance, process efficiency, and operational risk metrics.
• Build and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) reporting and monitoring solutions.
• Design SPC visualizations including X-Bar, Moving Range, P-Charts, C-Charts, U-Charts, control limit monitoring, and process capability analysis.
• Perform trend analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, root cause investigations, and operational performance assessments.
• Identify process bottlenecks, emerging risks, and optimization opportunities through advanced analytics.
• Support Human-in-the-Loop (HITL), process intelligence, observability, automation, and AI-driven analytics initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery reviews.

 
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Hands-on experience developing Power BI solutions in enterprise environments.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery, ETL/ELT development, data integration, and transformation processes.
• Experience building executive dashboards, operational scorecards, and KPI reporting frameworks.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts, and BI best practices.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and enterprise reporting environments.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and control chart implementation.
• Experience with KPI governance, performance analytics, and operational health monitoring.
• Proficiency in Python, APIs, Git-based source control, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
• Experience with Human-in-the-Loop (HITL), Process Intelligence, Automation Analytics, or Digital Transformation initiatives is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, process mining, observability, or workflow analytics platforms is preferred.
• Financial services or regulated industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with business, analytics, and technology teams.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $68- $73 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
