Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist with 1+ years of experience and Siemens equipment proficiency for a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma and comprehensive stroke academic medical center
• CT Tech unit performing abdomen, pelvis, chest, head and neck, and spine imaging
• Special procedures include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, radiation therapy planning, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
• Work settings include adult acute care, outpatient, emergency department, and ICU
• Uses all-Siemens equipment with identical protocols across ED, inpatient, ICU, and outpatient areas (purchased new in 2020)
• Uses PACS system for imaging
• EPIC charting experience preferred but not required
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No floating within scope required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist required (2 years preferred)
• ARRT-CT and BLS certifications required; ARRT-R preferred
• License required if applicable
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Siemens equipment experience required
• Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with CT arthrography, colonography, transplant studies, and operating room procedures preferred
• Experience with paracentesis/thoracentesis preferred

• 356-bed non-profit research and academic medical center affiliated with a university school of medicine
• All CT scanners are ACR accredited
• Ceil blue scrub color required
• On-site parking available at no fee
• Candidates must shave facial hair to ensure proper mask seal for fit testing; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided or permitted, with no medical or religious exemptions
• Failure to comply with fit testing requirements will result in cancellation
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility
• RTO requests must be submitted with application; additional requests after confirmation are at manager's discretion
• Pending license may be accepted at manager's discretion
