Quality Technician I

We are a global company, and our products including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories can be found all over the world.The Quality Technician I supports manufacturing operations by identifying, investigating, and resolving quality issues throughout the production process. This role collaborates with plant teams to ensure first-pass quality, perform audits, and support continuous improvement initiatives.These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:Manage internal quality tasks within an assigned production area.Identify and report quality issues to all levels of the Operations team.Collaborate with supervisors and team members to troubleshoot and resolve quality concerns.Communicate supplier-related quality issues to Supplier Quality Technicians and suppliers.Promote first-pass quality throughout the manufacturing process.Participate in cross-functional team meetings related to quality and production.Conduct process and final product audits based on engineering specifications.Operate or move JLG equipment as needed for inspection or troubleshooting.Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands. Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.Computer literate with Microsoft office especially Excel, Word, and Power Point.Strong phone and communication skills.Interpersonal skills.Sound Business Acumen.Knowledge of standard measurement tools.Strong math skills.Ability to read engineering drawings.Good driving record with minimal violations.This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations. The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required. Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.
