Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center in Bangor, ME, with night shift availability and CT/X-ray combination experience preferred.

Details

• CT Scan department within a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving approximately two-thirds of Maine
• Patient population includes ED, outpatient, and inpatient cases, primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric and neonatal patients
• CT equipment includes a Siemens Definition with Medrad Injector in the ED CT room; X-ray equipment includes a Siemens YSIO DR Room, Shimadzu Portable, and OEC and Siemens C-Arms
• EMR: Cerner; PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation varies based on department need
• No call required
• Holidays covered on a rotating basis with other techs
• Floating within the hospital as assigned
• 4-week scheduling cycles; all RTO requires manager approval

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience required; consideration dependent upon interview
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• Current BLS required
• ME state license required; compact or ME license required for consideration
• Proficiency with CTA studies and general imaging studies
• Experience with Siemens CT and X-ray equipment preferred
• IV start skills preferred
• CT/X-ray combination experience preferred; CT experience is required
• Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south or southwest of Bangor, ME
• Must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
• Two professional references within the past year required, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge (peer references not accepted)
• Flu vaccination required for clearance to start
• Copies of all certifications, full SSN, and a Driver's License required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform CT and general X-ray imaging across ED, outpatient, and inpatient care settings, including CTA studies
• Radiologist on-site and multiple CT/DX techs scheduled every shift; supported by a Lead Tech, department administration, and internal transport
• Orientation is approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks, adjusted based on experience and comfort level
• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis pending interview
• Travelers residing 100+ miles north of the facility require individual approval from facility nursing leadership
• Scrubs in any solid, professional color are acceptable; facility-provided scrubs are available if needed
• Free parking on-site
• Medical flu vaccination exemptions are accepted and subject to facility review; a minimum of 2 weeks must be allowed for the approval process
