Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs effectively, utilizing standardized tools and instruments.
• Design and administer personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings, employing various evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and family systems therapy.
• Coordinate with a network of professionals—including educators, school counselors, and psychiatrists—to provide comprehensive and holistic support for your clients.
• Facilitate crisis intervention sessions for students requiring immediate support with acute mental health distress, utilizing your expertise to guide them through difficult situations.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, delivering workshops and educational sessions aimed at promoting mental health awareness and decreasing stigma associated with mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with students and their families, many of whom come from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Sensitivity to these differences is crucial as you help navigate the unique challenges that children face today, including anxiety, depression, and social issues arising from school environments.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A completed graduate degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and therapeutic relationships with clients from various backgrounds based on exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Cultural competence and a commitment to advocate for clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equitable treatment and support.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for managing caseloads and maintaining meticulous documentation of client progress and interventions.

Preferred Experience

• Prior clinical experience working with a school population or in educational settings, particularly with children and adolescents.
• Experience in crisis management and intervention, where quick assessment and decision-making skills are essential.
• Familiarity with using teletherapy platforms to deliver counseling services effectively in a virtual format.

Compensation and Benefits
