Exciting Hematologist/Oncologist Position in Phoenix!

Are you interested in a career with the VA? Here’s your opportunity! Our organization is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician at the Carl T. Hayden Medical Center located in Phoenix, Arizona. Join a well-established program dedicated to treating Veterans with both malignant and benign hematologic conditions, as well as solid tumors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialty consultations for both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Participate in committees and engage in quality assurance initiatives.
  • Assist the facility in achieving established performance metrics.
  • Utilize your extensive training and experience to diagnose, stage, and treat hematologic disorders.
  • Supervise and teach medical students and residents, contributing to their education.
  • Qualify for an academic appointment at the University of Arizona School of Medicine - Phoenix.
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with minimal on-call duties.

Additional Information

To qualify for the CME leave, candidates must be board-certified. The EDRP is available for this position, allowing for student loan reimbursement, subject to specific eligibility criteria. Applications must be submitted within four months of starting the role, and approval is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office.
