ASD Behavior Consultant

Position Information Position Type : Special Education Teaching / District Wide Date Posted : 6/29/2026 Location : District Wide Date Available : 08/31/2026 Hours Per Day : 8 hours Duty Days Per Year : 186 days Type of Position : Continuing Qualifications Valid Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education; ASD or ABS licensure. Team-oriented individual with experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors in both mainstream and center-based settings. Prefer experience with special education evaluation. Responsibilities Work closely with school administration, teachers, and support staff to address behavioral concerns. Create, implement, and train Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior interventions. Create, maintain, and analyze data of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress. Participate in Child Study Team (CST) planning, evaluating, and programming for students. Provide work direction and training to the Educational Assistants. Knowledge of the process for completing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIPs) to address challenging behaviors. Actively participate in trainings and staff meetings as deemed appropriate. Communicate with teachers regarding programs and materials to meet student needs. Other duties as assigned.
