Planner

Production Planner, High Security Fence Products (Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company) is looking for a Production Planner to manage schedules and materials for our high‑security fence products. Responsibilities Produce and manage production schedules and work orders to ensure deadlines for shipments are met. Adjust schedules as needed based on production delays, equipment maintenance, raw‑material delays, or changes in demand. Establish a good working relationship with Production and Planning Supervisors regarding status, potential delays, and other issues affecting production. Communicate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials. Manage inventory of stock, non‑stock materials, and aging inventory. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production planning process and implement solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and reduce costs. Assemble facts and data to make informed decisions on balancing production work centers, schedules, material availability/lead times, and customer requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment. Comprehension of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles and systems. Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management. Ability to understand and determine workflow and capacity limitations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Problem‑solving skills and ability to multitask, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency. Strong Excel skills and excellent analytical abilities.
